Back in 2014, I made a set of nine locally-themed Valentine’s Day cards for my daughter to give out at daycare. I was flattered by the attention they received from other parents (of course the kids didn’t notice!), and I soon expanded the set to 18 cards. A few years later, I joined the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Public Library Board, and thereafter at some point I offered to sell printed sets to raise funds for the library. I eventually sold all the copies that I printed, raising a few hundred dollars along the way, and hopefully producing a few smiles. There’s certainly nothing fancy about the artwork, but I guess that has been part of the charm. In the years since, I have occasionally received requests to reprint the cards or share them electronically, and finally now in 2024, I have decided to post the cards online for anyone to enjoy who wants them. They can be used freely, however you like—just please say where you got them (released under Creative Commons License CC BY 4.0).
