It’s a beautiful day in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, June is Pride Month, and rainbow flags are snapping in the breeze. What more can one ask for?
Last week the municipal government made its annual Pride Month Proclamation, and I was proud to attend as a member of Safe Alliance (from whom I poached the photo of the flag outside Town Hall).
We see these flags flying often now, even year round in many cases, which is wonderful. I’m all too often guilty of walking past without taking much notice, and of course we can’t be constantly mindful of the progress we’ve made (or we wouldn’t keep making more), but today for some reason (probably the gorgeous weather), it felt extra special to see (and hear!) those colours flying when I went in to check the mail. So I thought I’d share a snapshot of the flag outside Canada Post.
